Defining Women co-hosts Lisa Biesak and Sally Algiere are best friends and you'll quickly feel like they are your best friends, too!  They met when their kids (now teenagers) were little, and have had the fun over the years of sharing the adventures of being wives, moms, and ambitious women.  They also share, oddly enough, the same astrology sign, Scorpio. Lisa's on the cusp but Sally admits to being a true Scorp, so their relationship is always intriguing.

There's something new every week with these defining women.  Sometimes they examine a microscopic look at a slice of life - something we can all relate to - always with a dash of humor.  There's no preaching, lecturing or demanding that you change your life or your way of thinking! Often they feature special guests who open our eyes to new and exciting ideas, products, or events that can enrich our lives.

How did an insurance exec and a registered nurse end up with a radio show? 

Well, Sally claims that her own never-ending desire to do something "new", together with Lisa's zany and relentless thoughts of "career ideas", brought Defining Women to life.  In truth, Sally, who never envisioned herself on radio, agreed to go along with the idea while in the midst of taking three courses and working, secretly thinking she would do so just to help launch her friend.  One year later, Sally continues to sit beside her soul mate with delight.

Lisa is always on the lookout for new and stimulating additions to her life, and serves as an independent marketing professional when she's not on air, or preparing to be on air.  Meanwhile, Sally's own "career ideas" have taken off, and in her other life she is exploring a career in alternative medicine.
